What Should I Do With My Old BBQ?

If you have an old barbecue you wish to discard, it’s not advisable to just dump it with your regular trash or near a dumpster. Most components of old grills can be recycled, so it’s best to engage a service like Crown Junk Removal to handle it for you.

We are a full-service junk removal company, meaning we’ll take care of all the heavy lifting. We’ll remove your old grill directly from its location—no need for you to drag it to the curb or shift it yourself. We’ll securely load your BBQ and any other items you want to dispose of into our truck, then tidy up the area before we leave. We strive to recycle or donate items whenever possible, so you can relax knowing your items have been appropriately disposed of.

Can Crown Junk Removal Take My BBQ from My Back Porch or Deck?

Absolutely, we can! As a full-service junk removal company, you don’t need to stress about moving your items outside or to the curb before we arrive. If it’s on your back porch or deck, we’ll pick it up from there and load it into the truck—no heavy lifting required on your part!

How Can I Dispose of an Old Grill?

Disposing of your old grill is a breeze with Crown Junk Removal! We’ll visit your location and take away your old barbecue and any other items you want to dispose of. You don’t need to lift a finger—we’ll remove the old grill right from where it’s situated and load it into our truck for safe, responsible disposal. Numerous parts of your old grill can be recycled, and we always do our utmost to ensure the items we collect are recycled whenever feasible.

If you want to explore disposing of your old grill yourself, you can begin by contacting your local recycling or scrap metal salvage facility to see if they accept old grills. Keep in mind, you might also need to disassemble the grill before dropping it off.

How Can I Dispose of Hot Charcoal?

When needing to dispose of hot charcoal, it’s crucial to take precautions. Ensure the ashes cool for a minimum of 48 hours, or douse them with water to ensure they’re completely cool before moving them. Hot ashes could spark a fire, so this is vitally important.

The next step depends on the type of charcoal you have. Wood fire ash can be composted, and so can lump charcoal that is made purely from wood. Charcoal briquette, which contains chemicals, needs to go to the landfill. Wrap them up in foil or place them in a small container, then dispose of them in an outdoor trash bin.

If you have large quantities of charcoal you need to dispose of along with your barbecue, we can haul it away with the grill.
